Fees & Insurance
Fees
If you do not have insurance coverage, or choose to self-pay for our services, please call the office phone at (919) 858-6910 to discuss our fee schedule. We will provide a good-faith estimate of your out-of-pocket costs before starting treatment, as mandated by the No Surprises Act.
Benefits
It will benefit you to contact your insurance company directly to verify your behavioral (mental) health benefits and ask them the following:

-
Do I have behavioral health benefits? If so, what is my co-pay?
-
If not, do I have out-of-network behavioral health insurance benefits?
-
What is my deductible, and has it been met?
-
How many sessions per year does my health insurance cover?
-
What is the coverage amount per therapy session?
-
Is approval required from my primary care physician?
-
Is teletherapy (video sessions) a covered service?
Paying for Sessions
Co-payments or deductibles are due at the time of service.
We accept a range of payment options for your convenience, including major credit cards, Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA), and Health Savings Accounts (HSA). These options ensure that you can easily manage the financial aspects of your therapy sessions, making it more accessible and affordable to receive the care you need.

Beyond Plateaus Psychotherapy will file in-network insurance claims for our patients. Most of our clinicians are in-network providers with:

-
Aetna
-
Blue Cross and Blue Shield (Blue Local and Blue Value not included.)
-
Cigna
-
MedCost
-
North Carolina State Health Plan
-
TriCare (coming soon)
If you utilize an insurance carrier other than these, we can assist you by providing a coded receipt that you may submit to your insurance company to seek out-of-network reimbursement. Many insurance companies have out-of-network benefits that reimburse a percentage of the session cost.

*Please note that we are not in network with Medicaid or Medicare.
